Featured artist John Bettinger attended Shadle Park High School and graduated in 1974. He enjoyed the art classes as well as shop. John’s father-in-law gave him his first stick welder in 1988 and he went from there. With a background in construction, both building and remodeling houses and getting to see the finished product, he was inspired to create his art. John enjoys creating metal sculptures as they are a part of his legacy, something that will live on for generations.
