Giving the Gift of Libraries

christmas_bureau

We’ve had so much fun at the Christmas Bureau this year! The Christmas Bureau provides toys, books, and grocery store vouchers for thousands of low income individuals and families.

This year we gave away 6,500 yo-yos and waived up to $100 in late fines per person.

We also signed people up for the greatest stocking stuffer of all—a library card.

We appreciate you stopping by the library’s booth this year. If you still haven’t made it, there are a few days left of the Christmas Bureau, so stop on by. It is held at the Spokane County Fair & Expo until December 17th from 10am to 2:30pm.

While the Friends of the Library exists to collect and sell donated books to help support the library, the Spokane Public Library Foundation exists to support the strategic directions of the library and to be a resource for innovation and expansion of library services.

The Library Foundation is a 501c (3), and your donation goes a long way towards supporting the innovation and growth at the library. By giving today, someone in the community can benefit tomorrow. You can give a gift online, send in a check or meet with us to talk about planned giving.
